Airfix British Westland Lysander Mk.1/Mk.III (1:48 Scale)

Developed for British Army reconnaissance and observation, the Westland Lysander became one of the more distinctive aircraft to see service during the Second World War. This Airfix Westland Lysander Mk. I/Mk. III model kit is produced in 1:48 scale and captures the type’s specialist short take-off and landing design, with options to tailor the build to different configurations.

The kit includes 171 pieces and provides two decal schemes: a Westland Lysander Mk. I from No. 16 Squadron, Royal Air Force Old Sarum, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England (1938–39), and a Westland Lysander Mk. III from No. 309 Polish Fighter-Reconnaissance Squadron, Royal Air Force Renfrew, Glasgow, Scotland (1940). With newly sculpted pilot and gunner figures, detailed internal structure, and multiple choices for canopy, slats, flaps, wheels and undercarriage stores, it offers a varied project for aircraft modellers.
