Aya Estate Early Melnik 2022, Bulgaria

From Bulgaria’s Struma Valley, Aya Estate Early Melnik 2022 is a dry red wine made from 100% Early Melnik. Bottled at 13.5% ABV, it brings together ripe berry fruit, soft spice and a full-bodied style with a refreshing finish.

The grapes are grown in the Melnik region in the south-west of Bulgaria, where warm air currents from the Aegean Sea shape the local climate. Vines are cultivated using biodynamic viticultural practices. In the glass, this vintage shows an intense ruby red colour, with aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, light tobacco and spice. Well-structured tannins and a hint of sweetness make it a natural match for red meat dishes, casseroles, stews and selected cheeses.
