Barren Cross ‘Atomic Arena’ / ‘State of Control’ is a 2CD set in digipack, bringing together two albums from the Los Angeles band formed in 1983. Their classic metal sound carried a strong Christian message, alongside contemporaries including Stryper, Bloodgood and Sacred Warrior.

The set includes ‘Atomic Arena’, which appeared in the wake of the band’s inclusion on the ‘California Metal’ compilation, and the follow-up ‘State Of Control’, released after signing to Enigma Records. ‘State Of Control’ adds two bonus tracks, including ‘Your Love Gives’, originally exclusive to a version distributed to Christian bookstores. Exclusive liner notes by Kevin Stewart-Panko include a new in-depth interview with singer Mike Lee (now known as Michael Drive).
