Designed with a smaller rider in mind, the Dorchester Step Through Electric Bike from Basis is a city-commuter hybrid that brings electric assistance to everyday journeys and varied routes. A step-through alloy frame and 24" wheels create a more compact feel, while the handlebar-mounted LED display lets you adjust assistance to suit inclines and changing terrain.

Power comes from a fully integrated 10.4Ah / 14Ah battery paired with a 250w 36v rear hub brushless motor, with a stated range of up to 25 miles and assisted speeds up to 15.5MPH. For added flexibility on mixed rides, Shimano 6-speed gearing with a twist shifter works alongside front suspension forks to help smooth out the road. Practical finishing touches include front and rear mudguards, a kickstand and a chainguard.
