A lightweight 17" Alloy frame is paired with hardtail rigidity at the rear, while Suntour suspension up front adds comfort and control when the route gets rougher.

For a clean, integrated look, the 7Ah 36v tubular battery sits neatly within the frame, helping to reduce bulk while keeping the battery secure and protected. Power assistance and battery level are managed via a large LCD display mounted on the handlebars, keeping key information in easy view as you ride. Completing the setup, 700c deep-V wheels with chunky CST hybrid tyres support fast-paced travel while leaning towards a capable trekking feel.

To suit dependable daily use, Basis equips the Protocol with mechanical disc brakes front and rear, alongside a Shimano 6 speed gearing system.
