Budureasca The Sign Tamaioasa Romaneasca White Wine

From Budureasca’s The Sign collection, this white wine brings together traditional Romanian variety and modern cellar technique in a style shaped by Dealu Mare. Budureasca The Sign Tamaioasa Romaneasca is produced from hand-harvested grapes taken at dawn from 69-year-old vines, grown at around 170 metres and vinified in stainless steel without oak contact to preserve the purity of the variety.

Ultrasound maceration and 48 hours of cold skin contact were used to draw out aroma, followed by a 25-day fermentation at 10C with selected yeasts to retain freshness. The result is a dry white from Muntenia with 13.5% ABV, straw yellow in colour, showing tropical fruit and basil aromas, a balanced palate with fine notes of green basil, spicy character and fresh acidity, and a long, pleasant aftertaste.
