Reliable dew control makes a noticeable difference on longer observing and imaging sessions, and this Celestron 8-inch Dew Heater Ring offers a permanent, integrated solution for compatible Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tubes. Made for 8-inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD and RASA models, it replaces the retaining ring on the Schmidt corrector lens and applies heat directly to the glass for efficient dew prevention throughout the year.

The aluminium ring combines a rigid, lightweight build with a neat installed finish on the telescope tube. An integrated thermistor monitors the temperature of the corrector lens when used with Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers, while the supplied clips help keep the thermistor and power connections protected and organised when not in use. It connects to an external 12V DC power source and is supplied with a power jack extension cable for installation.
