Celestron Dew Shield DX for C6 & C8

Field conditions can quickly affect the front corrector plate of a Schmidt-Cassegrain, and the Celestron Dew Shield DX offers a practical way to manage both moisture and stray light. Made for 6-inch and 8-inch Celestron optical tubes, this telescope accessory fits Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD and RASA models with a single dovetail.

The shield is made from PE plastic with a flexible but sturdy structure, while extra padding at the tube attachment edge helps create a firmer fit around the optical tube. Inside, a felt lining absorbs additional moisture and reduces stray light for improved contrast during viewing and astroimaging. A widened and deepened dovetail cutout accommodates telescope dovetail rails up to 4 inches wide, and Velcro attachment points allow the fit to be adjusted between 6-inch and 8-inch tubes. When not in use, it rolls up for easier transport and storage.
