Cellier Duvel Distilled Whisky 70cl

Created to mark 150 years of the Duvel-Moortgat family brewery, Duvel Distilled 2023 builds on the earlier limited edition release. It starts with pure Duvel beer, which is fired in copper stills and double distilled, before being matured in oak barrels selected for the occasion.

Led by master distiller Cédric Heymans, the spirit rests for 10 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry oak barrels, then receives a final finish in Sicilian Marsala barrels. Marsala is a fortified sweet wine made by adding alcohol to fermenting grape juice. This extended ageing keeps Duvel’s balanced character recognisable while adding layered aromas and flavours.
