From Château de l’Aumérade, the Aumérade Style Côtes de Provence Rosé 2024 captures the classic character of Provence in a pale salmon hue. Expect a refreshingly fruity bouquet, followed by delicate cranberry and mineral flavours on the palate, finishing with an elegant, refined close.
Set in the heart of Provence, Château de l’Aumérade is a 400-year-old estate with roots reaching back to the Renaissance. The property was originally owned by the Aumerat family, and in 1594 the Duke of Sully, finance minister to Henry VI, gifted mulberry and plane trees for the château’s gardens in recognition of its role supplying the Royal Court. In 1930, Henri Fabre and his wife Charlotte purchased the estate, which spans 300 hectares of vineyard land. When the Provence appellation was created in 1955, the château was designated a Cru Classé, a classification of the wine estate rather than the vineyard area, and remains one of only 18 still holding this status. Today, the estate is run by Caroline Demey.
