La Gioiosa Rosea Brut N.V.

From La Gioiosa, Rosea Brut N.V. is a sparkling wine shaped by the Moretti Polegato family’s winemaking tradition, carried forward for 3 generations. Its name nods to the historic definition of the province of Treviso, “Marca Giosa et Amorosa” (Joyous and Amorous March), and reflects a close connection with the typical wines of the Treviso area.

Production begins with whole white grapes, softly pressed in a pneumatic press. After a first racking, the must is held in controlled-temperature tanks until it is used for sparkling wine production. Red grapes are pressed and transferred to tanks for a gentle maceration designed to extract colour and a small amount of tannins, carried out at a controlled temperature of 22–23°C while enhancing aroma.
