Crama Delta Dunarii La Sapata Feteasca Regala Artisanal Organic Vegan Orange Wine

From Crama Delta Dunarii in Romania’s Dobrogea region, La Sapata Feteasca Regala is an artisanal organic orange wine made with wild yeast and bottled unfiltered. Produced in the south-east of the country, it reflects a skin-contact style with a more structured, fuller character on the palate.

The grapes are hand-picked into small crates, carefully sorted at the winery, then pressed and fermented spontaneously with wild yeast. After fermentation, the wine spends six months macerating on skins and seeds before bottling unfiltered. It suits aromatic dishes particularly well and is best served lightly chilled.

Tasting notes

Nose

Complex aromas of apricots, peaches, lychee, bergamot and fresh, uplifting citrus.

Palate

Clear tannic structure with a fuller, more serious character than the nose suggests. Notes of ripe fruits, berries and flowers appear in a more subdued form, alongside mild tangerine, peach ice tea and strawberry yogurt notes, with a balanced, long palate.

Serving suggestion

Serve at 10–12C. Pairs well with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, aromatic rice and smoked eggplant.
