Cramele Recas Sole Chardonnay Barrique White Wine

From Cramele Recas in Banat, Sole Chardonnay Barrique is a dry white wine made from Chardonnay and bottled at 13.5% ABV. Produced from carefully selected grapes grown on south-facing plots, it is partially fermented in new French oak barrels, then worked with bâtonnage three times a week to build texture and balance.

The 2023 vintage shows a golden yellow colour with a clear, crystalline appearance. Its character is refined and full-bodied, with notes of tangerine, peach, lime honey, apricot, almond butter, vanilla and cinnamon, followed by a long finish marked by sweet spices. Suitable for vegans, it also has the structure and acidity to develop further with age for up to 10 to 12 years.

Tasting notes

Palate

Finish

Full-bodied, with intense aromas and a long finish marked by notes of sweet spices.

Serving suggestion

Serve at 8–12°C. Pairs well with semi-hard and hard cheeses, Brie, Camembert, Caesar salad, baked dishes with sauces and reductions, chicken and turkey roulade, large crustaceans such as crab, langoustine and lobster, tuna steak, or desserts with vanilla, peach, mango or pineapple.
