Synopsis

First published as a Calla Edition by Scholastic, Inc., New York in 1995, this 20th Anniversary Edition revisits James Gurney’s illustrated Dinotopia sequel, described by Arthur C. Clarke as “pure magic”. The book follows a group of Dinotopians from a society where humans and animals coexist peacefully, as they venture into the depths of an unexplored island.

Enhanced with more than 160 full-colour illustrations, it also adds new hand-illustrated calligraphy, an afterword, and a behind-the-scenes section featuring studies and maquettes. A new foreword by dinosaur palaeontologist M. K. Brett-Surman, PhD, completes the edition.
