From a summer theatre camp with an unexpected connection to a 17th-century witch, to a remote Lake District cottage marked by eerie sounds and unexplained signs, and a shadowed forest reached by a letter of warning, the set spans stage, home and wilderness. Across the three books, the atmosphere shifts between suspense and discovery as secrets begin to surface.

Synopses

The Wildstorm Curse

Thirteen-year-old Kallie Tamm is excited to spend a week of her summer holidays at Wildstorm Theatre Camp. Determined not to let dyslexia stand in her way, she wants to pursue her dream of becoming a playwright, with the week building towards a final performance in the local village theatre. On arrival, she learns the cast will stage a play written by a 17th-century witch, Ellsabet Graveheart, and soon strange and frightening things begin to happen.

The Bird Singers

Layah and her younger sister, Izzie, find life turning unsettling after their mother takes them to a rain-soaked cottage in the Lake District, far from anywhere. A peculiar whistling is heard at night, unusual feathers appear on the doorstep, and there are murmurings of a shadowed woman in the forest. As the signs mount, their mother’s behaviour becomes increasingly odd.

Forest of Forbidden Magic

A mysterious letter, filled with ominous hints, arrives with strange silver charms shaped like a howling wolf and a malevolent fairy. It draws Tig and Elsa into Grimmhart Forest, an enchanted world of dark secrets and unknown creatures, where the magical powers of ancient animals are unleashed. It is also the place their grandfather has vanished into.
