From Hycote, this engine enamel comes in a 400ml aerosol and is intended for high-temperature automotive areas. The gloss red finish is formulated for use on engine blocks and cylinder heads, and is suitable for many areas of water cooled engines.

The coating is self-priming for one-step application and provides corrosion protection. It is also resistant to petrol, oils and greases. Use is limited to applications where high-temperature properties are required, and it should not be used on surfaces that will need subsequent overcoating with an alternative coating.
