Synopses

Front Desk

The third book in the middle-grade series follows Mia and her family as they run a motel in California while facing challenges linked to being immigrants to the US. Mia travels back to Beijing to visit her cousin and finds herself caught between two worlds.

With the Women’s World Cup coming to California, Mia is caught up in the excitement. After receiving a C in PE, she needs to improve her grade by securing interviews with the championship teams, even though the teams are staying in secret hotels in Pasadena and are not taking media requests.
