From Love Frankie, this black velvet Drum Lampshade pairs a rich, dark exterior with a copper foil lining and jet black fringing for a considered statement finish. Handmade to order in England, it’s designed to bring depth and contrast to living spaces, bedrooms and hallways, working equally well as a ceiling pendant or styled on a table or floor lamp.

The metallic lining is constructed using three layers of materials: the foil lining, the PVC, then your chosen fabric or wallpaper. This helps the outer colour stay rich and opaque, with light directed from the top and bottom of the shade and reflected off the metallic lining for a warm glow.

Designed with industry-standard ring sets, it’s suitable for use on UK and EU standard lamps and flex and fitting sets, with a reducing ring provided to convert from a 39mm / ES27 fitting (EU) to a 29mm / smaller bayonet fitting (UK). The bulb holder component sits 4cm up from the bottom for a lamp, or 4cm down from the top for a ceiling pendant. For arc floor lamps, the brand advises ordering a ceiling pendant fitting so the fittings sit at the top.
