Synopses

Nothing Like the Movies

Wes and Liz were together for a few months before tragedy ended their relationship just as they were about to head to UCLA. Later, they find themselves in college at the same time, and Wes is determined to win Liz back with the big, rom-com-style gestures he thinks she loves.

Liz refuses to play along, leaving Wes to scheme for a chance to see her. Matters become even more complicated when Liz has a new friend who is also a guy.

Better Than the Movies

Liz can’t stand her annoyingly attractive neighbour, but he is her only way in with her long-term crush. A perpetual daydreamer and hopeless romantic, Liz Buxbaum has been set on Michael for years, even though he never really noticed her before moving away.

Now that Michael is back in town, Liz is determined to get on his radar and possibly secure a prom date, even if it means befriending Wes Bennet.

Betting on You

Seventeen-year-old Bailey starts a new job at a hotel waterpark and is unhappy to discover an old acquaintance is also a coworker. They didn’t get off to the best start, but with a fresh beginning, Bailey finds herself looking forward to spending time together.

As they gossip about guests and colleagues, Bailey becomes especially interested in two coworkers who keep flirting with each other.

The Do-Over

Emilie has the worst Valentine’s Day ever, only to find herself reliving it again and again. After a disastrous day, she heads to her grandmother’s house for comfort and a consolation pint of Ben & Jerry’s.

When she wakes up, she is back in her own bed and it is Valentine’s Day all over again, followed by yet another repeat.

Fake Skating

Dani and Alec were inseparable as children, from playground play dates to sneaking into movie theatres, until Dani moved away. Years later, Dani returns to Minnesota, excited to reconnect with the nerdy, comforting Alec she remembers.

Instead, she finds a teenage Alec who is now the hockey star in a town that worships hockey players. When they end up thrown together and pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend, “complicated” becomes an understatement.
