McGuigan Black Label Merlot

From McGuigan, the Black Label Merlot 2020 is a fruit-forward Red Wine with ripe raspberry, cherry and plum character. Juicy Merlot grapes bring notes of red berries and raspberry jam, lifted by a caramel, cinnamon and vanilla scent and finished with a twist of oak.

Rooted in the Hunter Valley since the 1860s, the McGuigan family continues a multi-generation commitment to modern Australian winemaking. Premium parcels of fruit from regions across Southern Australia are blended to create a balanced, harmonious style. After crushing and de-stemming, selected parcels are fermented on French and American oak prior to blending, with further Heinrich American oak used to balance the fruit and oak profile.
