From Morgenster, this 2019 red is a Right Bank Bordeaux-style blend from the Lourens River Valley. Built around 70% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, it was matured for 13 months in 300-litre French oak barrels.

The nose shows ripe raspberry with sage and rosemary, while the palate is well defined and full of substance. Richness and complexity come through in notes of cedar wood and cigar box, giving the wine a composed, structured character suited to the table.
