Synopses

Wolf Brother

In a time when the world is a dark forest, a malevolent force conjures a demon that can only be contained within a ferocious bear. Torak, aged twelve, is tasked with leading the bear to the mountain of the World Spirit and begging for help to overcome it. Scared and unwilling, he sets out with only a wolf cub as his companion, in a world of wolves, tree spirits and Hidden People.

Spirit Walker

After Torak destroys the demon bear with the help of the World Spirit, Wolf is lost in an avalanche and Torak’s journey continues. A silent, deadly sickness threatens the Ravens, and Torak is told the Seal Clan have the cure. On the Seal’s Island he encounters a life shaped by the sea, meets the Seal Mage Teneris and Bale, and must stay alert to decide who is friend or foe.

Oath Breaker

Once the hunted, Torak becomes the hunter when he swears to avenge the killing of one of his closest friends. To keep his oath he must enter the hidden valleys of the Deep Forest, where clans have returned to earlier savagery. There, he learns why he is the Spirit Walker and discovers the true cost of revenge.

Out Cast

A secret revealed at the close of Soul Eater leads to Torak being cast out from the clans in his fourteenth summer. Alone and cut off even from Wolf and Renn, he flees into unknown territory: the haunted reedbeds of Lake Axehead, where the Hidden People menace him. As threats close in and the battle with the Soul-Eaters continues, Torak uncovers a deception that shakes him to the core.

Soul Eater

Reunited with Wolf after the Seal Islands, Torak learns from the White Fox clan that Wolf has been snatched. Torak and Renn head into the frozen Far North, moving through deceit, treachery and lies as they confront powerful mages, including Thiazzi, Seshru, Nef and Eostra. Torak faces vengeful ice bears and a terrifying evil, taking another step towards destroying the Soul Eaters while carrying a chilling secret of his own.

Ghost Hunter

As winter nears and Souls’ Night approaches, the Eagle Owl Mage holds the clans in terror. Torak must seek the mage’s lair in the Mountain of Ghosts, defy demons and tokoroths, and pass through the Gorge of the Hidden People.
