From Ossian Vides y Vinos, Capitel Organic Verdejo 2023 is a white wine from the Peña Aguda vineyard plot near Nieva. Made from Verdejo, it draws on vines with an average age of 200 years, rooted in sandy topsoil over slate.

Whole bunches of hand-harvested grapes were pressed, then fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in 228-litre Burgundy barrels. Ageing on the lees for 10 months with periodic stirring brings texture and concentration, while the palate combines notable grip with rich depth. Aromas of white peach, honeysuckle and jasmine give the wine an expressive, mouthwatering character, and its structure supports further cellaring.
