Designed for those who value the character of handmade stationery, the Paper High Indra Extra Large Embossed Leather Journal pairs a naturally dyed leather cover with unlined, handmade khadda paper. Crafted using a blend of contemporary and traditional methods, each journal is hand bound and finished with embossed detailing created using small handmade tools, making every piece unique.

Inside, the pages are made from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), crafted by hand from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from the Indian garment industry. The result is an acid-free paper with a lightly textured, luxuriously thick feel that suits writing, drawing, painting, journaling and scrapbooking. It performs well with ball-point pens, gel pens and watercolours; fountain pens are not recommended. A brass clasp keeps the pages secure, while natural oils help the leather soften and age over time, developing distinctive creases, bumps and marks as it’s used.

As each journal is handmade, the embossed pattern may vary from the one pictured. If you prefer a less distressed finish, a more suitable version can be selected upon request.
