Handcrafted for Paper High, the Three Moon Leather Journal is a characterful notebook designed to travel with you, taking on a softer, more lived-in feel over time. Each one is hand bound using a blend of contemporary and traditional methods, with embossed detailing created using small handmade tools to ensure every journal is unique. The leather cover is made from a by-product of the meat industry in India, tanned using natural dyes and protected with natural oils; the border pattern around the edge may vary from the one shown.

Inside, you’ll find unlined pages made from handmade khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), crafted from recycled cotton salvaged from the Indian garment industry. Using only unbleached cotton keeps the paper acid-free, with a lightly textured, luxuriously thick finish that suits writing, drawing, and painting. It works well with ball-point pens, gel pens, and watercolours, though it is not recommended for fountain pens. As a handmade piece, natural creases, bumps, and marks are part of its distressed character; if you’d prefer a less distressed finish, a more suitable version can be selected on request.
