Permatex RTV Silicone Instant Gasket Maker Blue High Temperature Sealant 80ml

For sealing joints exposed to vibration and fluid contact, Permatex Supra Blue Gasket Maker is an RTV silicone sealant supplied in an 80 ml tube. It is specified for high-torque and high-vibration applications and is suitable for use on components including valve covers, oil pans, timing covers and differential covers, with additional marine applications such as water pumps and thermostat housings.

This formulation is sensor-safe, low odour and non-corrosive. It offers resistance to oils, cooling fluids and shop fluids, with an intermittent temperature range of -54C to 260C.

Specifications

• Intermittent temperature range: -54C to 260C
• Recommended bead size: 1/16" to 1/4" (2 to 6 mm)
• Retighten bolts 1/4 to 1/2 turn after 1 hour

Care and maintenance

• Clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent before application.
• Replace the cap after use.
• Clean hands with a dry cloth or Permatex Fast Orange Hand Cleaner.
• Clean tools with nonflammable cleaning fluid.

Safety information

• Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.
• Allow additional curing time in cold or very dry conditions.
