Synopses

Archangel

Historian Fluke Kelso learns of a secret notebook belonging to Josef Stalin and becomes determined to find it, whatever the consequences. Leaving the violent political intrigue and decadence of modern Moscow, he travels north to the forests around the White Sea port of Archangel, where he faces Russia’s unburied past.

Fatherland

Set in an alternative world in which Hitler has won the Second World War, the story opens in April 1964, one week before Hitler’s 75th birthday. Xavier March, a detective of the Kriminalpolizei, investigates a dead body found in a lake near Berlin’s most prestigious suburb, uncovering signs of a conspiracy reaching towards the top of the German Reich.

Enigma

In March 1943, with the war in the balance, Tom Jericho is a young codebreaker at Bletchley Park facing two crises. The Germans have changed their U-boat Enigma code, threatening Allied defeat, and as suspicion grows of a spy inside Bletchley, Jericho’s girlfriend Claire Romilly disappears.
