Synopses

When We Got Lost in Dreamland

Eleven-year-old Malky and his younger brother Seb become the owners of a “Dreaminator”, sending them into dream worlds beyond their imagination. With shared dreaming, anything can seem possible, from tree-top flights and Spanish galleons to battles and sporting greatness.

But the risks are serious. When Seb will not wake and is taken to hospital in a coma, Malky must leave reality behind for a final journey to the stone age in an attempt to wake his brother.

Into the Sideways World

After hearing about a mysterious animal prowling their town, twelve-year-olds Willa and Manny set out to prove it exists. Following the creature into a cave on a full moon, they are swept into an alternate world where pollution and conflict were conquered decades ago, and even their own families appear happier.

Back home, nobody believes them. With a global war looming in their world, their search for proof becomes more urgent, leading to an impossible decision about what it means to leave a perfect world behind.
