Serve Crama Serve Cuvee Charlotte Red Wine

From Crama Serve in Muntenia, Cuvee Charlotte 2018 is a dry red wine made from hand-picked grapes grown in Ceptura. This limited edition cuvée combines Merlot, Feteasca Neagra and Cabernet Sauvignon, with 14.8% ABV and 12 months of maturation in French and Romanian barrels.

The 2018 vintage brought an early harvest and a mild autumn, allowing the red grapes to ripen well while retaining freshness and balanced acidity. The wine shows fruity character and a long, persistent finish, making it well suited to serving with richly flavoured dishes or dark chocolate desserts.

Nose

Fruity and complex, with red fruits, blueberries, currants, prunes, black truffles and cinnamon

Palate

Red fruit character carries through from the nose, supported by tannins that blend with the acidity

Finish

Balanced, long and persistent

Serving suggestion

Serve at 15–16°C with a minimum of 4 hours of aeration. Pairs well with Argentine beef steak, baked lamb or venison, and dark chocolate dessert.

About the producer

This is the 18th Cuvee Charlotte produced by the winery. The cuvée is named after Charlotte, the eldest daughter of the winery’s founder, Count Guy de Poix.
