Tamiya Japanese Kawasaki Type 3 Fighter Hien (1:48 Scale)

Developed for the Pacific War, the Kawasaki Type 3 Fighter Hien is recreated here as a Tamiya 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit. This special specification kit reproduces the Hien I type and uses silver-plated parts with reduced gloss to present a realistic texture across key components. With an overall length of 187 mm and width of 250 mm, it captures the aircraft’s elegant, streamlined form while offering a detailed build suited to adult constructors.

Alongside the airframe, the inverted V-type 12-cylinder Ha40 engine is reproduced with auxiliary equipment including a supercharger. Internal details are also represented, with parts for the 20 mm cannon, magazine and oil tank positioned in front of the cockpit to convey the tight layout. The windshield can be opened and closed, and the kit includes two drop tanks, a seated pilot figure, two markings, and decals for spot camouflage.
