Tamiya Messerschmitt Me262 A-1a (1:48 Scale)

Among the most distinctive aircraft of the closing days of WWII, the Messerschmitt Me262 A-1a is recreated here as a 1:48 scale plastic assembly kit from Tamiya. Used by the Luftwaffe, this fighter is presented with its characteristic engine nacelles mounted beneath each wing, with the airframe’s proportions replicated in detail. With an overall length of 221mm and overall width of 264mm, it offers an engaging build for adult constructors and a striking addition to a WWII aviation collection.

Fine moulded detail extends to the cockpit and the four 30mm cannons in the nose. The canopy and gun bay access panels can be fitted in either open or closed positions, allowing different display options once assembled. The kit also includes R4M air-to-air rockets with underwing launchers, plus W. Gr 21 air-to-air rocket-launchers for mounting under the nose. A die-cast nose wheel well weight, a pilot figure and decals for four marking options complete the set.
