Celebrated for its role in WWII, the Supermarine Spitfire is recreated here as the Mk. XVIe in a Tamiya 1/32 scale plastic assembly kit. This variant used a Packard-built Merlin 266 engine and commonly paired the E Type wing with a teardrop canopy, details that are accurately reproduced in this full injection kit. With an overall length of 302mm and width of 311mm, it offers an involving build for adult constructors, with engineering that supports both display and poseable control surfaces.
Movable ailerons, rudder and elevators bring the airframe to life, while the flaps can be shown either up or down. The canopy can be opened even after assembly, and interchangeable landing gear parts allow an in-flight or parked configuration. A 30 gallon drop tank, two 250lb bombs, three marking options, and two pilot figures (one seated, one standing) complete the set.
Please note: Colours shown are as accurate as possible, though may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
