From Toro, Teso La Monja 2018 is produced in very small quantities, with around 900 bottles made each year. This red wine comes from an 18-hectare vineyard plot with a higher limestone content than is typical for the region, then undergoes fermentation in a wooden egg before being transferred to three new Bordeaux barrels.

Deep ruby in colour, it shows an aromatic, complex profile that brings together ripe fruit with hints of toasted wood and laurel. The palate is full-bodied yet notably poised, with a sense of weightlessness, balanced by good acidity and impressive persistence. Flavours and texture remain seamlessly integrated through a long, silky finish.
