The 13 Storey Treehouse Collection brings together five books by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton, following Andy and Terry and their ever-expanding treehouse. Each instalment adds thirteen new storeys packed with unusual rooms, machines and surprises, as the pair navigate the chaos of their own creation.
From secret laboratories and shark tanks to ice-cream robots and high-tech detective technology, the collection builds a fast-moving series of adventures centred on the treehouse itself. Along the way, the duo face strange hazards, unfinished levels and even a mystery involving Mr Big Nose.
Andy and Terry live in what they call the world’s best treehouse, featuring a giant catapult, a secret underground laboratory, a tank of man-eating sharks and a marshmallow machine that follows you around. They also have to watch out for sea monkeys, monkeys pretending to be sea monkeys, a giant mutant mermaid sea monster and a burp-gas-filled bubble.
The treehouse grows by another thirteen storeys, adding a dodgem-car rink, skate ramp, mud-fighting arena and an antigravity chamber. There is also an ice-cream parlour with seventy-eight flavours run by an ice-cream-serving robot called Edward Scooperhands, plus the Maze of Doom.
Thirteen more levels appear, including a chocolate waterfall you can swim in, a volcano for toasting marshmallows and a baby-dinosaur-petting zoo. The new additions also include a not-very-merry merry-go-round, a boxing elephant called the Trunkinator, an X-ray room, a disco with a light-up dance floor and the world’s scariest roller coaster.
There is also a top-secret thirty-ninth level that is not yet finished, all while Andy and Terry try to write their fastest book ever.
The treehouse expands again with thirteen new storeys, including a dodgem-car rink, skate ramp, mud-fighting arena and an antigravity chamber. It also features an ice-cream parlour with seventy-eight flavours run by Edward Scooperhands, and the Maze of Doom.
Andy and Terry add thirteen more storeys, including a watermelon-smashing level, a wave machine and a life-size snakes and ladders game with real ladders and real snakes. New features also include a rocket-powered carrot launcher, a Ninja Snail Training Academy and a high-tech detective agency.
With all this in place, they have a big mystery to solve: where is Mr Big Nose?
