Across the set, Wodehouse’s characters find themselves drawn into elaborate plans, awkward social encounters and the occasional high-stakes request from formidable relatives.

Highlights include a mission involving an antique cow creamer, Uncle Fred’s springtime confidence, and a selection of episodes featuring Bertie’s Aunt Agatha.

Synopses

The Code of the Woosters

Aunt Dahlia sets Bertie the task of purloining an antique cow creamer from Totleigh Towers. To make it happen, Jeeves devises a scheme that requires Bertie to charm a droopy and altogether challenging obstacle.

Uncle Fred in the Springtime

Uncle Fred, an earl with boundless confidence, declares that there are no limits to what he can achieve in the springtime. The story follows his characteristically decisive outlook as events unfold.

Blandings Castle

The stories return to the sunny, ivied walls of Blandings Castle. In the rolling parkland, snakes lie in wait to nip Clarence, the absent-minded Ninth Earl of Emsworth, when he least expects it.

Something Fresh

Enter the world of Lord Emsworth, his younger son and his long-suffering secretary. After returning home with a valuable Egyptian amulet, Lord Emsworth finds his home life complicated by the situation.

Joy in the Morning

Bertie Wooster is trapped in rural Steeple Bumpleigh, a setting that would test anyone’s resolve. Among those present are Florence Craye, to whom Bertie was once engaged, and her new fiancé, ‘Stilton’ Cheesewright.

The Inimitable Jeeves

A collection of stories featuring episodes from the life of Bertie Wooster and Jeeves, his gentleman’s gentleman. Aunt Agatha, described as terrifying, makes her presence felt throughout.
