Synopses

Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer

Magnus Chase is orphaned and living on the streets of Boston when he is warned that people are after him. Reunited with his uncle, he learns his father is a Norse god and that the gods of Asgard are preparing for war. To prevent doom, Magnus must find a sword his father lost two thousand years ago.

Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor

Thor’s hammer has gone missing again, but this time it has fallen into enemy hands. Magnus Chase and his friends must retrieve it before giants threaten the mortal worlds and Ragnarok begins. The only route to a deal leads to Loki, and the price he demands is high.

Magnus Chase and the Ship of the Dead

Loki is free and preparing Naglfar, the Ship of the Dead, with giants and zombies to begin the final battle of Ragnarok. Magnus Chase and his friends race across Midgard, Jotunheim and Niflheim to reach the ship before it sails on Midsummer’s Day.

Along the way they face sea gods, giants and a fire-breathing dragon, while Magnus confronts his own inner demons. To defeat Loki, he must rely on words rather than force, seeking a magical elixir that could either empower him or destroy him.

The Red Pyramid

Carter and Sadie Kane’s father, an Egyptologist, sets a secret plan in motion that goes disastrously wrong at the British Museum. Carter and Sadie flee and begin a quest from Cairo to Paris to the American South-west, uncovering their family’s connection to the House of Life, an Egyptian temple of magic.
