Synopsis

Buck begins life in California as the cherished pet of a loving family, before being sold by a rogue servant and sent to the Far North. In a cold and unforgiving landscape populated by gold prospectors, wolves and Indians, he is made into a sled dog and forced to endure severe hardship.

As he adapts, Buck learns to live by the law of the wild, drawing on the toughness and ferocity within him. He becomes the strongest sled dog in Alaska, while facing an ongoing pull between life under man’s rule and the urge to run free in response to the call of the wild.
