Synopsis

Set in a national park in Portugal, the story centres on a remote campsite where only a small number of campers seek out the quiet of the dark forest. When solo traveller Kier Templer vanishes, the circumstances hint at danger that may have begun before she even left her home in Devon.

Although meant to be off duty, Detective Elin Warner is pulled into the search by a troubling clue Kier left behind. With the campsite closing ranks as questions mount, the surrounding isolation takes on an increasingly sinister edge. Suitable for readers who enjoy tense, atmospheric mysteries.
