From Via Viticola Sarica Niculitel in Dobrogea, Caii de la Letea Volume 2 Aligote is a dry white wine made from Aligote, the flagship variety of the Niculitel vineyard. At 13% ABV, it reflects the long winemaking tradition of this Danube-influenced region and is produced in a limited edition from hand-harvested grapes selected from vineyards with strong potential.

Freshness defines the style, with lively natural acidity supporting a balanced, mineral profile. It suits fish and seafood dishes particularly well, and also pairs neatly with young cheeses. Served well chilled, it makes an elegant aperitif as well as a versatile table wine.

Tasting notes

Nose

Fresh vegetal aromas of newly cut grass and damp earth, with white flowers, pollen, ripe yellow fruit and a subtle mineral note

Palate

Ripe white fruit and green apples, supported by naturally high acidity and pronounced minerality

Finish

Notes of citrus, wormwood and chicory with a medium-length, refreshing mineral finish balanced by sweet apple notes

Serving suggestion

Serve at 8–10°C. Pairs well with fish, seafood-based dishes and young cheeses.
