From Coonawarra producer Wynns, the 2016 John Riddoch Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine drawn from less than the top 1% of the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon production and made only in top years. It opens with a deep, dense colour and pure, fragrant aromas centred on blackcurrant, with suggestions of eucalyptus and baked earth.

The palate is super-refined in texture, with notable succulence and ease, while just a hint of edge to the tannin keeps the wine poised without interrupting its immediate appeal. Precise and sophisticated, it also has the structure to reward extended cellaring for 15 years or longer.
