Synopses

Groosham Grange

Sent to Groosham Grange as a last resort, David Eliot soon discovers his new school is unlike any other. Pupils sign their names in blood, a teacher disappears every full moon, and the assistant headmaster keeps something chilling in his room. As the mysteries deepen, David must work out what is going on and how he can escape alive.

Return to Groosham Grange

Someone is trying to destroy Groosham Grange. David Eliot is on course to win the Unholy Grail, a cup of magical power awarded to the star pupil, but a series of suspicious mishaps threatens his chances. With new boy Vincent King closing the gap, it becomes clear that someone wants to stop David winning and may be putting the school itself in danger.

The Switch

Tad Spencer has everything, until he makes the mistake of wishing he was someone else. He wakes as Bob Snarby, trapped in a cruel funfair world of criminals, fortune tellers and the murderous Finn. As Tad tries to understand why he is there, he begins to uncover a secret that leads to an unexpected enemy.

Granny

Twelve-year-old Joe believes his Granny is unbelievably evil. Mean and physically repulsive, she frightens him with a predatory look that makes him suspect she has unpleasant plans for him. Joe must work out what she intends and how to stop her.

The Devil and his Boy

Orphan Tom Falconer heads into a dirty and dangerous London with vicious criminals close behind. He is alone until he meets Moll Cutpurse, a thirteen-year-old pickpocket, and the pair are chased across the city by the murderous Ratsey. On the first night of a new play, The Devil and his Boy, Tom realises the fate of the Queen and the country rests in his hand.
