Celestron EclipSmart Solar Filter - 6 inch SCT

Safe solar observation starts with a filter made for the telescope in hand. The Celestron EclipSmart Solar Filter is a telescope accessory for Celestron 6-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, converting a conventional night-time SCT for direct solar viewing with Solar Safe, ISO-compliant filter technology.

Its scratch-resistant polymer filter is produced by American Paper Optics and filters 99. 999% of visible light while also protecting against harmful IR and UV light. A snug fit based on the telescope’s lens cap is paired with two Velcro safety straps and four self-adhesive Velcro pads to help keep the filter securely in place. Compatibility is stated for Celestron 6-inch SCT models including the SkyProdigy 6, Advanced VX 6 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope, NexStar 6SE and NexStar Evolution 6.
