Cramele Recas Paparuda Reserve (Reserva) White Blend Vegan White Wine

From Cramele Recas in Banat, Paparuda Reserve White Blend is a dry white wine made from Chardonnay and Feteasca Regala. Estate-grown fruit from the Gypsy Hill vineyard is harvested by both machine and hand, with the parcels vinified separately before blending to bring together the floral character of Feteasca Regala and the peach fruit and structure of Chardonnay.

Fermentation takes place over three weeks at 15C after a short cold maceration and careful clarification. Part of the Chardonnay is aged for three months on French oak staves with lees stirring, then reblended with the unoaked portion. The result is a zesty, crisp and lightly textured white with a fresh, juicy style that suits summer drinking. 13% ABV.

Nose

White peach and jasmine with very ripe fruit aromas, notes of vanilla, apple and floral nuances

Palate

Apricot and lime fruit, zesty and fresh, light and juicy, with a textured palate

Serving suggestion

Serve at 8-10°C. Pairs well with herb roast chicken, creamy sauces, grilled salmon, sea bass, trout with lemon butter, citrus green salads, cheese, cured meats, spinach and leek quiche, and mild coconut-based Thai curries.
