Domeniile Averesti Zghihara de Husi White Wine

From Domeniile Averești in Moldova, Zghihara de Huși is a dry white wine made from a grape variety closely associated with the Huși vineyard. The grapes were harvested in two stages at different levels of ripeness, then cold macerated and pressed before fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures.

Straw-yellow in the glass, it shows a natural effervescence and a fresh, balanced character. Delicate aromas of fresh hay and wildflowers are joined by green apple and gooseberries, while the palate is lightly fruity with subtle notes of green bell pepper and fennel. Its lively style suits festive meals and works particularly well alongside white meat dishes, fresh salads, grilled vegetables and mild cheeses. Serve at 8–10°C.
