From Puglia’s Salento IGP, Due Palme Serre Susumaniello 2022 is an Italian red wine with a deep ruby colour and blue highlights. Made from Susumaniello and bottled at 13.5% ABV, it shows a generous, full-bodied style with notable structure.

The bouquet brings ripe red berries and blackberry jam, while the palate is balanced by ripe fruit, minerality and fresh savoury elements. Caressing, well-integrated tannins support a voluminous mouthfeel and a long finish, making it a strong match for hearty dishes and mature cheeses.

Nose

Ripe red berries and blackberry jam

Palate

Dominated by red fruits including ripe berries, cherry and plum, with notes of graphite pencil, roses, carnations, dark spices, black pepper and clove. Earthy and slightly salty undertones sit alongside ripe fruit, minerality and fresh savoury components. The tannins are caressing and well integrated, with a balanced, full-bodied mouthfeel.

Finish

Excellent and prolonged, with nuances of chocolate and autumn jams.

Serving suggestion

Serve at 16–18°C with aubergine parmigiana, savoury red meat dishes, ripe cheese and game.
