A practical foundation for garden buildings, the EcoBase Fastfit Shed Base Kit from EcoBase offers an environmentally-friendly alternative to paving flags or wet-mix concrete. Made from 100% recycled waste plastics, it uses interconnecting grids to create a firm, strong and long-lasting base that is designed to be well-drained and maintenance-free.

Integral T-shaped self-fastening connectors help the grids lock together, while rainwater drains through the cavities to the earth below to help keep floor bearers dry and ventilated. The kit is supplied with a weed-resistant membrane cut to size, and the lightweight components are easy to carry and manoeuvre into position. For a neat perimeter finish, the edge can be filled with decorative aggregate to create a French drain and help prevent rain splashing back onto the building.
