The character is intense and layered, opening with ripe peach, golden apple and quince, followed by lemon zest, aromatic herbs, cherry blossom and pine forest. On the palate, fine creamy bubbles carry complex notes of toasted sourdough bread, butter puff pastry, brioche, toasted hazelnuts, almonds, vanilla custard, coffee and praline. The finish is long, intricate and well suited to slow appreciation.
