Kaspers Artisanal Elderflower Gin 500ml

Distilled in Saschiz, Transylvania, Kaspers Artisanal Elderflower Gin takes a distinctive approach to gin production. Rather than starting with a grain spirit, it is made by fermenting and double distilling hand-picked elderflower, before ten botanicals are added and the spirit is distilled a third time. The result combines the floral freshness of elderflower with the classic juniper character of gin.

Produced by Scotsman Jim Turnbull, this small-batch spirit is made using traditional distilling equipment and skills passed down through generations, alongside modern science to ensure quality and consistency. The distillery was established in 2010 as a social enterprise in Saschiz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a focus on sourcing flowers, fruit and vegetables from the local community and employing local people.

About the distillery

The distillery in Saschiz was the first micro-distillery in Romania to be licensed to make a spirit drink from elderflower. It was established as a social enterprise with the aim of buying raw materials from the community and employing local people, reflecting a production approach centred on traditional skills, local ingredients, and sustainability.
