Made in Switzerland, the Kuhn Rikon Black Star Rosti Iron Frying Pan 19cm is crafted from heavy gauge spun iron for robust, professional-quality cooking. Designed for fast, high-heat frying, it suits everything from searing meat and quickly frying vegetables to preparing traditional Swiss rosti.

Its tough construction allows use on the hob, under the grill and in the oven, with a cast malleable iron handle riveted securely to the pan. A hanging loop keeps storage simple, while seasoning helps the surface develop its own non-stick patina over time.

Use and care

• Handwash in hot soapy water before first use and dry thoroughly
• Follow the supplied seasoning instructions before first use
• After seasoning, avoid washing in soapy water to prevent re-seasoning
• Always add some oil before cooking; not suitable for fat-free cooking
• Use silicone, wooden or metal utensils
• Match the pan diameter to the hob ring and avoid dragging across glass hobs
• Do not leave unattended; if strong smoke develops, remove from the heat and continue at a lower temperature
• Use oven gloves when lifting and use an oven shelf rather than the oven floor
