A protective cap on the Duromatic Classic Neo carries key cooking times for a range of side dishes and main courses, keeping the essentials close at hand. A triple overpressure relief mechanism supports safe cooking, while the Superthermic sandwich bottom is designed for energy-efficient heat transmission and heat distribution. A sieve insert is included to help separate food from water.

Use and care

• Follow the detailed instructions supplied with the pressure cooker
• Handwash and dry after use
• To bring the pan up to pressure, close the lid, place on the heat, wait until the pressure indicator in the lid has lifted to the right pressure, then adjust the hob heat to control pressure
• Two pressure settings: 5.8 psi at the first red ring and 11.6 psi at the second red ring
• Release pressure by turning off the heat, depressing the pressure indicator until steam has released, or cooling the rim under tepid running water; tilt the lid to direct steam away when opening
• For normal soiling, use warm water and washing-up liquid
• For intensive cleaning, limescale build-up or discolouration, use Swiss Cleaner
• Remove limescale with vinegar or lemon juice
• Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers
• Avoid regular cleaning in the dishwasher
• Do not use sharp objects such as knives, steel wool or scourers to remove stuck food
• Keep the pressure indicator clean
• Do not exceed maximum capacity: half full for pulses, rice and fruit; two-thirds full for stock, soup, meat and vegetables
